Lucid Labs Program

Lab Access Program

The full AI Infrastructure Field Guide is currently under rigorous review. Applications are open for free access to our colocation test environment in Sunnyvale.

The Offer

  • Install monitoring and verification systems on real data center infrastructure.
  • Visit a production facility in Sunnyvale and test methods in realistic conditions.
  • Access is free for qualified researchers with a commitment to publish outcomes.

Current Cage Setup

  • One cabinet installed with available space for instrumentation and equipment.
  • Overhead fiber tray and cross-connect to Lucid research infrastructure.
  • Room to expand to additional cabinets as the program scales.
  • Potential GPU hardware is being evaluated but not guaranteed.

What This Environment Is

  • Facility-level testbed for power, network, and physical verification approaches.
  • Hands-on context for cable paths, access controls, maintenance windows, and constraints.
  • Useful for instrumentation pilots, physical audit workflows, and monitoring prototypes.

What It Is Not

  • Not a full AI training cluster with large-scale GPU jobs.
  • No NVLink domain or InfiniBand training fabric today.
  • Not the right environment for cluster-scale workload signature measurement.

Who Should Apply

  • Verification researchers in compute governance, AI safety verification, or hardware-rooted trust.
  • Policy researchers who want firsthand understanding of real data center constraints.
  • Graduate students and independent researchers with a concrete test or learning objective.

Access duration is set case-by-case based on your proposed plan and timeline. In the application, tell us how long you expect to need. Applicants must agree to publish a paper, report, blog post, or equivalent public technical write-up.
